ROLE OF THE MFC
As the sole national trade body, the MFC plays a proactive role aimed at benefiting members and the overall development of the industry. Through its representation in all the relevant authorities, the MFC spearheads the industry at the Federal and State Government levels. MFC has successfully recommended and implemented suitable policies and plans that benefits the industry.
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES
To promote good relationship and co-operation among furniture industry players;

To uphold the reputation and image of the Malaysian furniture industry;
To promote better understanding and good relationship between the Council and public and private sector;
​
To represent the best interest of the furniture industry;
To organize exhibitions, talks, seminars and missions aimed at improving the Malaysian furniture industry;
To organize training and educational courses related to the furniture industry;
To promote all aspects of furniture-related activities which are in line with the interest of the Council.
ACTIVITIES OF THE MFC
Organize promotional and marketing activities to enhance trade and competitiveness of Malaysian furniture in the world market;

To keep abreast of the latest developments and changes by actively participating in consultations;
Conduct technical seminars and training for members;

By organizing Export Furniture Exhibition Malaysia (EFE) annually, which provides a global trade platform for export to international buyers.
